Referral Program Terms
BJW Ventures LLC d/b/a Power Hopper
Texas Electricity Broker Registration BR260201
Effective October 5, 2026
These Referral Program Terms (“Referral Terms”) govern your participation in the Power Hopper Referral Program (the “Program”). They apply in addition to the Power Hopper Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. “Power Hopper,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean BJW Ventures LLC, doing business as Power Hopper. By creating a referral account or participating in the Program, you agree to these Referral Terms.
1. What the Program Is
Power Hopper helps Texas electricity customers compare plans and understand what they are choosing. The Program lets you introduce people you work with to Power Hopper. As a thank-you, you may earn Power Hopper Points when someone you refer completes a qualifying enrollment, and you may redeem Points for physical merchandise.
You introduce people to Power Hopper. Power Hopper provides the plan comparison experience and the enrollment process.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You must provide accurate information and keep it current. Power Hopper may decline, limit or close any account at its discretion, consistent with these Referral Terms and applicable law.
3. Your Account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your email account and sign-in codes secure and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Each referral account has a unique referral code and link. An account may be created by you or by Power Hopper on your behalf; in either case you must accept these Referral Terms and the Privacy Policy when you first sign in. If these Referral Terms or the Privacy Policy change, you will be asked to accept the current versions before you continue to use your account.
4. Referring Responsibly
You may share your referral link and describe Power Hopper accurately, for example as an easier place to compare Texas electricity plans.
You are not a Power Hopper electricity broker, agent, employee, or representative, and you have no authority to bind Power Hopper or any retail electric provider. You must not:
- say or imply that you are licensed or registered as an electricity broker on Power Hopper’s behalf;
- recommend a specific plan or retail electric provider on Power Hopper’s behalf, or select a plan for anyone;
- complete an enrollment, a form or a consent for another person;
- promise or guarantee savings, the lowest price, a better rate, a particular plan, or any outcome Power Hopper does not promise;
- offer or provide money or anything of value to a person in exchange for enrolling;
- send unsolicited or deceptive messages, or use methods that violate applicable law, including laws governing email, calls and text messages;
- collect, keep or share a referred person’s personal information on Power Hopper’s behalf; or
- create fake or duplicate accounts, refer yourself, or otherwise manipulate the Program.
If you hold a professional license (for example in real estate), you remain responsible for complying with your own licensing and disclosure obligations.
5. First-Touch Attribution
When someone opens your referral link, Power Hopper records the first valid referral for that browser or device. The first valid referral wins: a later referral link does not replace an earlier one. Attribution depends on the person using the same browser or device, not clearing or blocking the information that stores the referral, and continuing within the attribution period, which is currently 90 days.
Power Hopper’s records determine attribution. We may correct attribution errors. We do not tell you the personal information of the people you refer.
6. Qualifying Enrollments
A “completed enrollment” is an electricity enrollment by a person who was referred through your link, that Power Hopper’s records attribute to you, and that is confirmed complete through Power Hopper’s enrollment platform or retail electric provider.
You do not earn Points for page views, link clicks, account creation, plan browsing, an abandoned or incomplete checkout, or an enrollment that fails, is cancelled, or is not completed. You do not earn Points for your own electricity enrollment or for an enrollment you complete on someone else’s behalf. Power Hopper decides, using its records and confirmations, whether an enrollment qualifies.
7. Power Hopper Points
Power Hopper Points are Program units. They are not money, property, a security or a currency, and they have no cash value. Points cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be sold, bartered, transferred or assigned to anyone else, and are not compensation for services. There is no cash withdrawal or cash equivalent.
As of the effective date, you earn 100 Points for each completed enrollment. Power Hopper may change the number of Points earned for future enrollments by updating these Referral Terms.
Points do not expire while your account is active and in good standing. Power Hopper may introduce an expiration policy on at least 30 days’ notice.
8. Milestone Bonus
When your account reaches 15 completed enrollments, Power Hopper adds a one-time bonus of 1,500 Points. The bonus is awarded once per account. It does not change the Points you earn for later enrollments.
9. Point Adjustments and Corrections
Power Hopper keeps a record of every Points transaction. We may correct errors and may adjust or reverse Points that were awarded in error, that relate to an enrollment later found not to qualify, or that were obtained in violation of these Referral Terms. Adjustments are recorded with a reason.
10. Redeeming Points
You may redeem Points for physical merchandise listed in your private rewards catalog while you have enough Points and the reward is available. Rewards are physical merchandise only. There are no gift cards, prepaid cards, cash equivalents, digital codes, store credit, or cash.
When you confirm a redemption, the required Points are deducted once and a reward request is created. You cannot redeem a reward if your balance is lower than the Points required. Submitting the same request again, for example by tapping twice or refreshing, does not deduct Points a second time. You must provide an accurate shipping address in the United States.
A reward request is shown as Requested, Processing, Fulfilled or Cancelled. Power Hopper may store tracking or reference information, and notes, that it uses to fulfill and support your request. A suspended account cannot redeem Points.
11. Availability and Substitutions
Rewards are subject to availability. Pictures and descriptions are for illustration. Power Hopper may substitute a reward of the same kind and comparable quality, including a different brand, model, color or version, and may change the Points required for future redemptions. If a reward cannot be fulfilled, Power Hopper may cancel the request, and the Points are restored. A cancelled request restores its Points once.
12. Shipping, Delivery and Returns
Power Hopper arranges shipment through retailers and carriers. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. A request cancelled before it is fulfilled has its Points restored. If an order is returned, is undeliverable, or cannot be delivered because of an incorrect address, Power Hopper may reverse the redemption and restore the Points. Product warranties, if any, are provided by the manufacturer.
13. Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes that apply to rewards you receive. Power Hopper does not currently collect tax identification information through the Program. If applicable law requires it for a particular reward, we may ask for the information we need before fulfilling the redemption.
14. Fraud, Abuse and Suspension
Power Hopper may investigate suspected fraud or violations of these Referral Terms. We may suspend or close an account, reverse Points, cancel or withhold redemptions that are under review, and decline to award Points that were obtained in violation of these Referral Terms. While an account is suspended it cannot redeem Points, and Points are not awarded for enrollments that complete during the suspension unless Power Hopper later reinstates the account and confirms them. Power Hopper keeps a record of suspensions and reinstatements.
15. Changes to the Program and Termination
Power Hopper may change, suspend or end the Program, or change these Referral Terms, at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes and, if we end the Program, a reasonable period to redeem earned Points, except where an account is closed for a violation. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
16. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect information in the Program, including referral account information, referral activity, Points transactions, shipping information and redemption history. Power Hopper does not give referral partners the personal information of the people they refer.
17. No Guarantee of Earnings; Independent Relationship
Power Hopper does not guarantee that you will earn any Points or rewards. Participation does not create an employment, agency, partnership, joint-venture or franchise relationship.
18. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Program is provided as available, and Power Hopper’s liability in connection with the Program is limited as described in Section 17 of the Terms of Service. Nothing in these Referral Terms limits liability or rights that cannot legally be limited.
19. Governing Law
These Referral Terms are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of Texas, consistent with Section 21 of the Terms of Service.
