Free Texas service lookup

Find Your Texas ESI ID

Enter your service address to find your ESI ID, electric utility and service details.

Privacy-first lookup. Your search is used in your browser to locate a matching public electricity service record.

Data comes from official public sources. Power Hopper is an independent electricity broker and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the PUCT, ERCOT, Power to Choose, or any utility or retail electric provider.

This lookup uses ERCOT Type 203 full extracts dated September 7, 2026. The records are a snapshot and may not reflect later service changes. Addresses and service details are shown as supplied by the source. A load zone is not included because this source does not provide a defensible ZIP-level mapping.

ESI ID lookup help

What is an ESI ID?

An Electric Service Identifier (ESI ID) is the unique identifier for an electricity service location in the ERCOT market. It points to the service location, not the retail electricity provider.

Why do I need an ESI ID?

An electricity provider uses it to identify the service location when setting up or changing electric service. The utility or TDSP that delivers power is tied to the location; you choose a retail provider where customer choice is available.

Where can I find my ESI ID?

Use this lookup, check an electricity bill, or ask your utility. An ESI ID is not your retail provider account number and is not the number printed on the physical meter.

Apartment ESI ID lookup

Enter the street address first. If several service locations share it, choose the matching apartment or meter from the list. You can also include your unit in the search.

Business ESI ID lookup

The lookup includes business service points present in the supplied ERCOT extracts. The premise label comes from the source record.

Why can't I find my address?

A new permanent meter may not be in the extract yet, the source may use another address format, or the location may be served by a utility not represented in these files. Check your bill or ask the property manager or utility to confirm the record.
